In 1592, one of the worst events in Korea's history broke out. 'Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592', which was a Japanese attack on South Korea, started. Japanese soldiers showed up on the Busan coast, then surrounded the port. Busan was quickly taken by the armed soldiers. They were marching their way up toward Han-yang, currently Seoul, the capital. However, not everyone gave them an easy path.

Dongnae Town Wall and General Song Sang-hyun stood strong. "It is easy to die in battle, but it is impossible to give up the path." With such responsibility, General Song and his soldiers fought to the death. Their courage is still remembered today. To remember their loss and to celebrate the town of Dongnae, people gather around in celebration. In 2022, which is already the 26th celebration of this festival, many people are expected to attend. Since the festival could not be held for the past two years due to COVID-19, the organization is planning many things to gain many people's interest.

First, visitors will be treated to a live performance outdoors. Performers will bring back the history of Dongnae. The actors will re-enact scenes about wars, and battles, and give performances about Chosun Dynasty. Second, there will be many different foods for people to eat. Traditional markets in Dongnae will provide many delicious traditional foods for people to eat. Third, there will be museums and memorials that people can see. Such places will help people visualize the memory of our history. Visitors can go and thank the ancestors for protecting the country. Visitors can also learn more about the history they did not know. Last, but not least, a huge parade has been organized for everyone to enjoy. People dressed in Han-bok will walk around the roads to remember the history of Dongnae. This festival will be held from October 14 to 16 free of charge.
