A few days ago, I learned about mobile content in class. The theme of the day was digital news. I had time to explore various foreign newspapers such as 'CNN' and the 'New York Times'. There are so many advantages of digital newspapers. You can easily read articles on the topic of your choice and see related articles. I learned 'Feed' as a service that provides customized articles for me. In digital news, the 'Feed' function runs very well. Nevertheless, I would still recommend reading paper newspapers. Why do I prefer reading paper newspapers, leaving behind digital newspapers with so many advantages?

I subscribed to a paper newspaper about a year ago. At first, it was hard to read the whole newspaper. For me, who was not so interested in politics and did not watch digital news, paper newspapers were like homework delivered every morning. But now, a year later, the advantages of paper newspapers that I felt after subscribing to paper newspapers were simple and ironic. Paradoxically, paying for them was rather an advantage. Even though I do not have to pay to read articles on the Internet and the quality of the articles is the same as that of the paper newspaper, there are many distractions on the Internet, and there is no environment where I must read articles.

Paper newspapers, on the other hand, you have to pay for. As such, I cannot just throw away newspapers that I have paid to subscribe to. Paying for paper newspapers is not an idiotic act of spending money on free articles but investing in an environment where you can read the news. When we read paper newspapers, we are exposed to more diverse topics. There are many articles in our view while reading a particular article. As I turn over the newspaper page by page, I scan the articles from left to right, and I see a lot of headlines. The layout of paper newspapers with articles arranged next to one another is more efficient than the Internet, where you have to click to move on to a new article. Besides, reading paper newspapers has many advantages.

There is a saying, ‘Knowledge is power.' Getting interested in various topics while reading paper newspapers improves the quality of thoughts and conversations. This will be of great help to our college students when they prepare for employment later. It is not too late. Why don't we all subscribe to paper newspapers?
