PSC창업학과 (신설)
1. Department Introduction
The PSC Entrepreneurship Department aims to cultivate globally minded entrepreneurs who can develop their ideas into viable businesses in a rapidly changing global market.
Through the Global Business Planning curriculum, students learn to understand the evolving startup ecosystem, develop business strategies that go beyond existing markets, and write persuasive business plans.
Through the Business Item Implementation process, students design and develop products and services by understanding the context of specific countries and cultures.
Project-based classes grounded in Design Thinking empower students to turn ideas into reality and plans into action. Students grow as planners and entrepreneurs, developers and marketers, ultimately becoming founders who create their own paths beyond national borders.

• To cultivate practice-oriented global entrepreneurs with creative thinking and strong problem-solving abilities based on a global business mindset.
• To build upon PSC, the core competency framework of Busan University of Foreign Studies.
• To foster global entrepreneurial talent who independently explore problems (P/S), collaborate with peers (C), and contribute to society.
3. Career Paths and Employment Fields
PSC-type global entrepreneurs, who define problems independently and collaborate with others to solve them, can grow into professionals who create new value across numerous interdisciplinary fields beyond traditional academic boundaries.

Entrepreneur, Management Consultant, Customs Broker, Advertising and Public Relations Specialist, Product Planner, System Consultant, E-commerce Specialist, Tax Administration Officer, Trade Specialist, Investment Analyst, Fund Manager, Senior Government Official, Headhunter, Accountant, Securities Specialist, HR and Labor Specialist, Corporate Executive, Journalist, Labor Attorney, Broadcasting Producer, Marketer, Designer, and related professions.

5. Curriculum and Course Overview
1) Understanding Entrepreneurship and Startup Special Lectures
A course that introduces the fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship, the role of entrepreneurs, and the overall startup process. Guest lectures from real entrepreneurs provide practical insights and help students develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
2) PSC Problem-Solving Project
A project-based course that identifies meaningful problems and develops solutions using the PSC approach. Students define problems individually or in teams, analyze them from the user’s perspective, and design feasible solutions.
3) Startup Idea Discovery and Business Model Development
This course focuses on discovering startup ideas and developing business models. Students analyze existing business models to understand market structures and value creation, and then design sustainable business models based on their own ideas.
4) Business Plan Development
This course aims to develop the ability to write structured business plans based on startup ideas, including market analysis, product and service strategies, operational plans, and financial plans.
5) PSC Startup Project I
A course focused on developing a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Students design and build MVPs, test them in real situations, and identify improvements to refine their startup ideas.
6) Startup Finance and Funding
A course covering financial fundamentals and funding strategies for startups. Students learn financial statements, cash flow management, and investment structures, as well as funding sources such as angel investment, venture capital, and government programs.
7) PSC Startup Project II
An advanced course that builds on PSC Startup Project I. Students improve and expand their MVPs, develop prototypes, and validate their technical and market feasibility.
