▣ Introduction
The Major in Integrative Medicine at the Graduate School of Industry & Business Administration, Busan University of Foreign Studies, was established to overcome the limitations of modern medicine and pioneer the future healthcare industry.
Our educational objective is to cultivate practical experts in integrative medicine through a diverse and specialized curriculum. The program offers in-depth training in key therapeutic modalities, including Chiropractic (a specialized field of manual therapy), Functional Exercise Therapy for postural correction, Massage based on Motion Analysis, Therapeutic Taping, Ayurvedic Aromatherapy, and Dietary Therapy.
▣ Educational Goals & Ideal Talent
• Cultivating Diverse Knowledge in Alternative Medicine "We foster integrative thinking capabilities that enable students to synthesize optimal solutions for patients. This is achieved by comparing Eastern and Western medical theories and mastering Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) methodologies.
• Training Professional and Systematic Posture Correction Specialists "We equip students with structural analytical skills to precisely diagnose and correct physical imbalances through the study of Clinical Posture Analysis and Ergonomic Consulting.
• Training Skilled Chiropractic Specialists "We focus on acquiring advanced manual techniques to relieve nerve compression through precise hand skills. Students hone spinal and extremity adjustment techniques based on a deep understanding of neuroanatomical mechanisms.
• Ideal Talent Profile "Fostering Integrative Healthcare Leaders who possess skilled manual techniques grounded in a scientific basis, dedicated to restoring the body's proper alignment and movement.
▣ Key achievements and department programs
• Advanced Chiropractic (카이로프랙틱학 심화) "Students master authentic theories and practical skills comparable to those in medically advanced nations such as the U.S. Based on a solid foundation of spinal anatomy and biomechanics, the course provides training in precise Spinal Adjustment techniques at a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) level.
• Clinical Posture Correction (임상자세교정학) "This course involves analyzing the Kinetic Chain extending from the foot to the cervical spine. Students learn targeted correction solutions for specific conditions such as scoliosis and text neck (forward head posture), alongside practical lifestyle management strategies.
• Rehabilitative Biomechanics (재활운동역학) "This program completes the integration of passive therapy (adjustment) and active therapy (exercise). Through motion analysis and functional anatomy, students learn to design scientific rehabilitative exercise prescriptions that provide patients with clear, evidence-based rationale.
